Ushuaia has set the creative standard to where it should be in Ibiza …. proper LED’s out front,  a big stealth LED on stage,  for a start…with extra LED’s added for bigger events –  with plans to take visuals to a new level in the near future .    Muthabored played Microcunk visuals on 7 july for the big Usher extravaganza, on 5 August for the big Radio 1 event, and on 1 October for the Closing with Luciano (marathon 16 hour live VJ set !!)     All 3 were a huge success,   a challenge to VJ in the hot sun all day –  kept things really bright and bold by day and sexy uber cinematic by nite.

Back in April, Cream commissioned us make a new set of club visuals for the new LED ‘s in the main room and terrace at Amnesia.  Its the first time Cream Amnesia have gone for a cohesive look on the screens in both rooms –  we made slight variations on the loops to suit House vs Trance and the results are amazing…Cream artwork influenced the concept which was to create an ultra modern look with particle emissions, motion tracking, and projector mapping – hinting at the sensuality of the human form without overtly using it.  The visuals are played all season long , and blend seamlessly with visuals brought in by guest acts…We go fully live for Super You & Me nights as well as Calvin Harris (see Calvin post) .   The visuals are a focal point , for the first time at Cream.. will all mobiles in the air capturing the WOW moments that are plentiful this season.   Here’s some photos we nicked off the web.

We’re just getting warmed up with the Calvin Harris tour… its going to be massive !  Loki is constantly refining Calvin’s visuals  - creating a totally bespoke style that he plays live at every show.   It began with a DVD commission last April for Calvin tour supporting Rhianna, see xceprt here….

The visuals went down a treat (Rhianna’s peeps were a bit envious we heard … think she needs an mchunk makeover too !)    That led to Loki going on tour to mix live visuals for Calvin’s own headline shows…. including a residency at Cream Amnesia,  loads of festies like LED, Summer Sound, Big Chill, V, Creamfields.    Now we’re planning  another Rhianna support tour  starting 29 September – this time Loki gets to go along to play live….

Back for more forbidden fruit at San An’s Eden every Friday from 25th June – 1st Oct 2010… This seasons line ups still to be confirmed but rest assured it’s going to be a stonker!!!

This years Ibizan summer saw Todd Graft performing seven weeks of live visuals for Deadmau5 @ Amnesia – The raved about event integrated Microchunk & Deadmau5 content on a bespoke LED build controlled through the unique addict server… this is an excerpt from a yet another sold out show with Todd Graft VJing during an off piste section of Deadmau5 set…

Dipping in & out of Ibiza’s Wonderland Mr Jet set Loki Ben joined Caspa on a European Tour bringing live visuals to the Dubstep massive… Combining Caspa character animations created by Monsta with some Loki motion graphics he managed to beat sink his way onto the screens & will probably be found moonlighting at a venue near you soon…

The Wonderland season ended with a massive bang & plenty of marbles going walkies but not before everyone celebrated the closing in fine style…. here’s the parting Promo for Pete Tong’s final night @ Wonderland featuring Pete Tong, Dubfire & Mike Knight…
